Weddings at the Harro East Ballroom

The Harro East Ballroom is a timeless Rochester, New York wedding venue that’s especially well-suited for hosting larger-sized wedding receptions. The building was first constructed in the 1930’s for the Jewish Young Men's and Women's Association. Over the years it’s seen many uses, and now the Harro East Ballroom gets to showcase the 90-year-old Georgian design of one of the largest and oldest clear-span ballrooms in Rochester.

The ballroom has space for up to 300 guests, and even at that capacity, still has room for a large dance floor! The 30-foot ceilings and old-style chandeliers lend a classy and historic feeling to the ballroom.

Wedding Menus

At the Harro East Ballroom, you’ll have a choice of a variety of menus and serving styles. You can choose from a traditional buffet, a grand buffet, a station party, or a served dinner. You will be able to choose from tons of hors d’ oeuvres and you can choose the type of bar service you would like for your guests.

There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options for each meal style, so all of your guests will be happy. You can also choose to have some “late-night” options after you cut your wedding cake! These light snacks are perfect for your hungry guests as they are dancing and enjoying your wedding party. 

Hosting Your Wedding Reception

To book your wedding reception at Harro East, there’s a relatively small (<$1,000) usage fee that covers a ton: room setup, normal clean-up, labor, linens, cake-cutting, security, and parking. If you’re concerned about parking, don’t be: you have four lots to choose from, plus ample street parking on the weekends.
