Weddings at Ravenwood Golf Club

If you’d like an outdoor wedding in Rochester, NY, but don’t want to risk a chance of rain, then Ravenwood Golf Club is just the venue you’re looking for! Their covered outdoor pavilion is the perfect place to keep the rain and sun off of your guests, and still enjoy the delightful summers that Rochester has to offer.

Ravenwood’s golf course opened in 2003, and it was created with the intention of making quality golf available to the general public. You could say they carry over that perspective to weddings as well: a beautiful venue, available to everyone, at an accessible price.

Wedding Accommodations

Getting Ready

Many couples choose to get ready in the on-site conference rooms, although doing hair and makeup in a nearby hotel room would likely give you a bit more space - and a guarantee you won’t accidentally see your fiance in the hallway!

Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony will be held in the indoor/outdoor Stone Pavilion. Featuring glass walls on three sides, the pavilion overlooks the golf course and is easily accessible for your guests. The north wall is open to the patio and outside air during the summer and fall, and it provides an outdoor feel to your ceremony while keeping everyone protected from sun and rain. The north wall can also be closed off in the event of inclement weather.

One nice feature of the Ravenwood setup is the wedding party’s ability to be positioned out on the patio while your guests are under the pavilion roof - a unique indoor and outdoor experience!

Reception

Your guests will move right next door to the Black Raven Banquet Room for cocktail hour and dinner. The room has a capacity of 250, and the line between indoor and outdoor can continue to be flexible, as large doors let your guests mingle between the dance floor in the pavilion and the guest tables in the banquet room.

Typically, couples cut their cake on the dance floor and then open up the dance party immediately afterward. 

As an added bonus, Ravenwood provides a golf cart to travel out on the course for evening sunset pictures. Unlike some other venues in the area, they allow couples on the course for pictures, which makes for beautiful moments!

Hosting Your Wedding

Ravenwood makes it easy to host your wedding here. Per-person food prices are reasonable for the Rochester area: dinner options start at $40/person, and exclusive use of the facility for your ceremony and reception is $3,600. In-season (April through October) Saturday weddings have a $15,000 minimum investment; all other days have no minimum.
