Max of Eastman Place - Rochester, NY Wedding - Adrián & Kristen

I loved Adrián and Kristen's wedding so much! They have a great story: he's from Spain, and she lives in Rochester. His job brought him over here, and pretty soon he fell for his cute ESL teacher! 🙂 They're adorable together, and I was so honored to photograph their wedding at Max of Eastman Place.

They have another ceremony planned in Spain over the summer, but they wanted to make sure to celebrate with their Rochester friends and family as well. And wow, did they ever celebrate! Their wedding ceremony and reception were at Max of Eastman Place, which was a perfect location for their springtime wedding. There's an outdoor courtyard if the weather is nice, and we took advantage of the indoor atrium because, let's face it, Rochester - a 30-degree wind chill and occasional rain just doesn't make for a pleasant outdoor ceremony. :-)

But indoors was a perfect setting for their bilingual ceremony and reception. Their friend officiated in English and Spanish, and there were readings and vows in both languages.

I enjoyed seeing the couple and their families interact throughout the day. Kristen's dad gave her the gift of a bracelet before the ceremony. And at the reception, overcoming the language barrier, he also shared in two languages how grateful he was for Adrián and Adrián's family. He praised Adrián's character and how he treated Kristen, and gave him a wonderful compliment when he shared how completely safe and trusting he felt when he watched how Adrián treated his daughter. It was a beautiful moment.

The whole reception was a fantastic party, with live music from Allegro, a Spanish-inspired meal and dessert options from Max of Eastman and Cheesy Eddie’s, personalized table names and favors - and the list could go on and on.

Oh, and by the way - Kristen and her girls got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, and can I just say "hidden gem" in Rochester? It's gorgeous and modern, and I can't wait to go back as soon as I can!
